AFEE collaborates with local authorities as well as medical centers to monitor vaccines for infants and children. With the help of nurses and doctors, AFEE organizes early medical check up for children. 

AFEE works in partnership with community nutrition centers to offer assistance and counseling breastfeeding and pregnant women. 

AFEE frequently organizes information sessions in family planning, HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases [STDs] prevention in its Centre for Mother and Children Protection in Dakar. 

Women Empowerment and Leadership 

The organization has several training programs for local women`s group. Members are trained in management of economic activities, micro credit and savings, family planning and more.

 

AFEE has initiated for its members several training of trainers seminars in Gender and Development, Women and Entrepreneurship, Management of Income Generating Projects, and in Community Development. 

Since 1997, AFEE has given credit to more than 1025 women. Thanks to this credit, many women were able to be entrepreneurs and to create micro-enterprises.
